Working With Children Check

ATTENTION :- ALL MACARTHUR CLUBS

If you are not already aware the NSW Government is phasing in a new

Working With Children Check.

This will effect sporting groups and associations in various ways.

To understand the new Check, how it is to be phased in and how you apply

Campbelltown Council has put on an information seminar

in conjunction with the NSW Government Office of the Children’s Guardian.

Please find attached the flyer relating to the FREE Child Safe Sports Seminars

(Working With Children Check) including times/dates and locations.

The Seminar will help you and your sports club understand:

Your Working with Children Check obligations, and the application and verification process;

Who needs and who does NOT need a new Check (including parent volunteers);

Information on how to help make your organisation child safe;

All bookings are to be made via The NSW Office of the Children’s Guardian’s website

www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/childsafesports

Council strongly encourages each club/association to have a member present at the Seminar to ensure that when it is phased in your club is aware of its obligations.
